So today is the day that I decided to to start a daily blog. I guess I'll take this little opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Chris Henderson - your average 18 year old (19 in five days) guy living in Austin with my boyfriend, Blake. I've been in Texas all my life and hated every second of it until I moved up here from Conroe. Blake and I are both going to school at St. Edward's University and I'm majoring in psychology which may be a part of my reasoning behind this blog - to gain a better understanding of myself by writing down everything I've done and thought and sharing it with the web... though this may not be the best idea for my self confidence though as Blake would tell anyone I could always be knocked down a peg. So, I guess I should get this started.
Today I was woken from a wonderful dream about Dairy Queen by a loud, nonstop, and mysterious bell. Of course the noise didn't bother my roommate, because well he has the gift of sleeping through anything. They rang as I checked my Facebook, they rang as texted my friends, they rang as I showered - they just would not stop. I didn't manage to escape the intrepid ringing until we decided to head over to the Barton Creek Mall and watch Scott Pilgrim vs. The World. Yeah I know we're about a month and a half late but whatever. That movie was awesome. I thought the special effects could have put Avatar to shame. Though, I think most movies put Avatar to shame. I know, I know, hate all you want, but that movie was just... terrible. Anyways, did anyone else get the urge to play Tekken after watching Scott Pilgrim?
After the movie, Blake and I came back to the campus so he and our soulless ginger friend could watch Glee. I just sat at my desk and played Fall Down and Vampires Live, the two most addictive games that have ever been made available on an iPod Touch. If you don't have them, download them at your own risk. We ended up going to get dinner (chicken caesar salad) and dress the soulless ginger for a night on the town. As usual we weren't invited to go out to Sixth Street, but we probably would have declined anyways - clubbing isn't exactly our style since we've been dating for so long. No, instead Blake and our only black friend Tina watched The Lord of the Rings while I set up this lovely blog. And now we're here. Not exactly an eventful day but then again, look at the blog title. Though I did forget the part when Blake almost pissed himself because he was losing a tickle fight. And now while I type, he's watching A Very Potter Sequel, one of the best You Tube series of all time. Speaking of which, I think in the future we may start some daily videos just to do a different type of journal. So until tomorrow... Follow me on Twitter! @henderch16
